How to Plan for the Future When the Future Keeps Changing

marketing for introverted people

Today I'm gonna share with you everything I know about how to plan for the future when you have no clue what to expect.

There's one thing that I know to be true from my experience in building my business over the past 5 years…

Consistent action is key.

  • Even if you don't see immediate results.
  • Even if you're not entirely sure if you're doing it right.
  • Even if you're scared.

People that learn by doing and making mistakes find success way faster than people that learn by consuming more information and waiting for perfect timing.

As we've learned over the past couple of weeks, perfect timing is a fallacy. It's out of our control. You'd be waiting forever if you were waiting on life to be perfect.

So what do you do?

You stay the course.

You don't give in to the fear of doing it wrong or the fear of the timing not being right because whatever is going on in the world. You flip the script and decide that you're willing to do it, screw it up, figure out what went wrong, make adjustments and try again.

It's one of the reasons I make my students inside the Website Marketing Lab take massive action to market themselves even when those efforts don't result in instant gratification, because you never know what's going to come of all those seeds you're planting along the way.

The best example of this is my most recent guest on Pep Talks for Side Hustlers, and where her business was just 5 years ago vs. today, I know it had nothing to do with perfect timing and everything to do with action and persistence.

You can listen to it here.

And then stay the course.
