Day 3 – How to Start Without a Website

This post is part of a series where I'm sharing my experience taking Nathalie Lussier's 30 Day List Building Challenge again in 2016, plus giving you tips, tricks and lessons I learned from using it to jumpstart list-building in 2015. You can sign up for Nathalie's Challenge any time here.

Day 3 of Nathalie Lussier's 30 Day List Building challenge is a little technical. It is setting up a goal on your website and tracking that through Google Analytics.

This piece is all about making sure that the thing that you're offering, your list building efforts, and the traffic that you're driving to your site is panning out.

A lot of people that I help get to this step and feel stuck because they don't have a website, or they do all of their business on social media. I tell them, “That's okay. You can skip the Google Analytics step and come back to it when you have a website.”

You can set up a MailChimp account, create a mailing list and connect that your Facebook page. Boom… you can start collecting email addresses before you even have a website!
